The Origin of Tea Leaf Tales

I blame this new endeavor, like I needed another task to occupy my time, on a ceramic mug I recently purchased to enjoy extra large cups of my favorite mocha tea. Holding a generous sixteen ounces of the steamy concoction, my owls mug stayed on my writing desk for extended periods…apparently long enough for it to feel like a regular of the environ.

Without warning from the purveyor, I was surprised when the etched owls contorted their glazes in unconventional manners and began to hoot. The pair along one side sang a perfect choral harmony to the lone owl on the opposing side.

Alarmed, I touched the handle. The trio instantly hushed, but only for an instant. Tentatively, they began again, trusting my presence.
Weeks later, the parliament continues their serenade freely while I type. Quite interesting and practical—the more they sing, the warmer the tea remains. The artist of the handmade mug should have told her distributor about this remarkable attribute she incorporated—would be a tremendous selling feature.
Tea Leaf Tales is a series of original ten-sentence fantasy short stories by Marsha A. Moore, relating to photos/scenes that resonate with her.

The tales are tagged and listed as a collection on the page at the top for easier reading.
