Tea Leaf Tales: Bobby Bear’s Post-Hallows Anger Management

Still on guard after a rough Halloween, Bobby couldn’t get his anger under control. With nerves on edge, he flinched and roared at everything that crossed his path.
Accustomed to being Lead Toy in Corey D. Daniels’ collection, Bobby expected life to be easy. For years it had been, until All Hallows Eve when he accompanied Corey into a kids’ maze in search of candy. They rounded a turn, and a tiny ghoul, no bigger than Corey, burst out from a quiet, dark corner. The scare caused Bobby to fly from Corey’s hand, through the air, and outside the maze where a pack of menacing goblins surrounded him. Bobby gnashed his teeth, which kept his growling attackers from ripping him to shreds until they relented and left him alone in a strange place.
There, he watched for Corey to find him, but after many days, the unthinkable truth burned through his mind—he wasn’t Lead Toy.
A falling acorn pummeled his back. He spun and snarled, then snapped his jaw shut and sputtered, “Got to get a grip or I’ll blow it with Santa, and I must be Lead Toy again.”
