Interviewing Elizabeth Loraine about her new book, Phantom Lives

Today, I'm pleased to be given the chance to interview Elizabeth Loraine about her new paranormal release, Phantom Lives.

This begins a new series for you. How does this compare to your previous, the Royal Blood Chronicles?

It does not have vampires and it is in modern time although it does have ties to an earlier time. The Civil War. It is also magical and has paranormal elements.

Which character from your two series do you enjoy writing the most? I love both Katrina and Abbi. Why?

Because they are stronger than they ever knew and they find they have the ability to not only save themselves but everyone else.

What research did you do to prepare to write Phantom Lives? I researched the area of Mississippi and the Civil War plantations.

Who inhabited the area before Europeans came to the area. I also always decide on names and meanings etc.

From your blurb, Phantom Lives is mostly set during post-Civil War times. Is that the actual time, or does your heroine, Abigail, time travel to that setting?

That is the time of the plantation. Abigail is from this time, but she has always had dreams of that time, a Phantom life.

Your blurb mentions that dreams greatly influence Abigail. Were these nightmares or pleasant dreams, calling her to this different world?

She wasn’t scared by the dreams only intrigued by them. She had no idea they were from a real time and place.

You state that Abigail will enter a fantasy world of spirits and immortals. What sorts of paranormals/magic beings can we expect?

Ghosts, Immortal beings, magical places and portals between space and time. You’ll have to read Phantom Lives to find out.

Blurb:

Abigail Black, an heiress from Memphis is on the run from her abusive boyfriend, Dallas. In the process she finds out that there is a force pulling her towards something, and someone, that she thought only existed in her dreams.

Another page turning adventure from Elizabeth Loraine. Phantom Lives intertwines the modern world with the post Civil War world of Collier, a plantation Abigail had dreamt about her entire life. Now she is about to find out why. Another fantasy world of spirits and immortals is built in a way which fans of Ms Loraine’s will again thoroughly enjoy. Find out who Abigail was in the past and how it changes everything.
