A to Z Challenge: 'F' is for my fav beach, Fort DeSoto

As promised on my 'D' Disconnect day, I'm sharing pics from a local beach where I get away from the internet to write--Fort DeSoto. I went there Monday with my writing notebook and lunch. Heaven!

Fort De Soto is a State Park beach at the southern tip of St. Petersburg, Florida, forming the northern limits of Tampa Bay. It’s maintained with lots of acreage for wildlife, kayaking, camping, fishing, cycling, and parasailing. Lovely soft, white sand dotted with dunes. Gorgeous! Most of my newly released fantasy romance book, Tears on a Tranquil Lake was written there. Little wonder why I chose to write a book with a love triangle among a mermaid, a merman, and a pirate captain!

I love your beach. :) I'm going to the park when it's nice weather (seldomer than you think, it's Northern Ireland! :) ) but I love the sea so try to go there often, too.

I love being by the water; even when we lived in Ohio I enjoyed Lake Erie. I'll bet the sea off the Irish coast is beautiful, Wordyliving.

Pk, Honeymoon Island is really pretty, just a bit farther for me to drive.

It's beautiful. Thanks for sharing. It's as close to the beach as I'm gonna get any time soon :)

@Rosie--a beach isn't necessary for me, just a quiet outdoor spot. In college, I loved to write my essays outside on a campus bench under large shade trees. Somehow it helps my mind expand.

@Teresa--Thanks for stopping! I'll come pay you a visit. :-)
